Kandace wanted to go to the mall yesterday instead of the gym (which kinda upset me cuz I need to jump on the gym bandwagon) and we spent FOUR AND A HALF HOURS at the mall. We went everywhere, and like five times haha. I bought Amanda two shirts, which I can’t post because Amanda sometimes reads my blog…
So no surprises til I see her Friday, since I’m picking her up from Westfield.
Anyway, so we went to CVS, Abercrombie and Fitch, Aerie, Hollister, Spencer’s, Icing, Bath and Body Works (I got a job application, haha), Mac, Sephora, Victoria’s Secret, Hot Topic, Vera Bradley… everywhere. A few of the stores we went into multiple times. I spent about $70 between Amanda’s two shirts, Screamworks: Love In Theory and Practice for Mike, and the dual disc Screamworks: Love In Theory and Practice for myself (it comes with the original CD and then a bonus CD with all the songs in acoustic.) Julie pointed out sparkly green nail polish and green matte nail polish at Icing so she bought those, and they’re pretty awesome! I just painted two nails to see how they look and I love them.
Speaking of nails, though
I noticed last night as I was about to fall asleep that I broke one of my acrylics. It’s my left index finger and it was broken horizontally across so I finally broke it off today
It would have driven me absolutely crazy to not just break it off. It’s so weird seeing my natural nail… I’ve had the acrylics on since January! Haha.

Nathaniel and I finally hung out last night after weeks of not seeing each other. We decided to see The Wolfman since it’s one of two movies (the other being The Crazies, but I didn’t know it was out already) I wanted to see. We went to the 7:05 showing and got there at exactly 7:00… then waited in line for ten minutes but fortunately fifteen minutes of previews helped. We sat in the front row (not the very front, but in the stadium set up, the front row with the bar because I like to put my feet up, be able to stretch out, whatever) since there were maybe seven people in the theater.
The opening scene alone had me o_o and wondering if I should be seeing the movie because I hate hate hate movies where stuff just jumps out of you. It’s like a cheap way of scaring people (I’m personally all for the guts and gore, which this movie did give quite a bit of…) I even texted Kandace and was like “Fuck fuck fuck this is a bad idea. I don’t like werewolves why am I here omgomgomg even Nathaniel is like ‘oh shit’ bad idea!” BUT it really wasn’t that bad. Yes, I know I’m an idiot for going to see the movie if I don’t like werewolves. They’re just creepy looking. Remus Lupin has by far the creepiest werewolf I’ve seen. But anyways, so… it was actually a very good story line. Once you got to SEE the Wolfman, it wasn’t as scary. I kept hiding every time a werewolf could jump out because I had NO idea what they looked like. But yeah… he just looks like a really tall hairy man haha. So, that made it a lot less creepy. Overall it was a good movie… I particularly liked the part where the psychiatrist was like “Lolz he has childhood trauma so watch us watch him make it through a full moon” while everyone is staring behind him at the Wolfman going “OH SHIT RUNNNNN” and then everyone dies
I wouldn’t want to see the movie again, but I would (half-heartedly) recommend seeing it.

Since I dropped out of UMD, I’ve been spending a lot of time watching movies!
I have been dying to see The Taking Of Pelham 1 2 3 since the previews for it first started coming out. I really liked Denzel Washington in it, though I did find John Travolta a little… annoying, but I did appreciate his character. For a movie surrounding a dispatcher talking to a terrorist who overtook a subway car, it was a rather good movie with a lot of action. I did miss the first ten minutes (of course they were the most important since I caught it with John Travolta already hijacking the subway car.) I’d definitely watch it again. I think my favorite part was Denzel’s character’s wife demanding he pick up milk on his way home… her way of assuring herself he would come home safe and sound after having to come face to face with John’s character. Also, major kudos to Denzel’s character cuz… I’da totally taken the Mayor’s car at the end and threw on the lights and sirens.
Eeeeee!
Seven Pounds is another movie I had been dying to see since the previews (I usually love all of Will Smith’s movies.) I also missed bits and pieces of this one too, though it was due to lunch and Mom wanting to watch Days Of Our Lives while we ate. As upset as I was with the movie, but I can’t say too much since I really didn’t know what it was about haha, the ending left me all warm and fuzzy inside. After going through everything Will Smith’s character went through, he sacrificed everything he had to save Emily Posa (who was the female character Will Smith’s character granted an IRS account freeze to due to her cardiac problems.) I probably wouldn’t watch it again, but I will most likely end up rewatching it since I missed a few bits and pieces here and there.
The Ohmygodwhatthefuckbarbecue Award goes to The Killing Room. Hands down the most fucked up and glorified movie I have ever seen in my life. Friday the 13th and Halloween have absolutely nothing on this movie. Since this is one of the lesser known movies, I’ll give some brief background. The movie starts off with a woman (I don’t recall her position or role or anything) observing video footage… she is obviously government or something high up (honestly, I didn’t catch any of her titles or reason for being there.) But she’s told to watch some video footage and report what she sees. Well, she sees four people taking surveys in a huge white room with bullet proof glass and all of a sudden this man enters the room (who’s the man requesting observations from the woman), talks briefly, and the only female is shot in the head. The three guys are told there are four phases, so they assume phase one is over and the next few phases are their deaths. So, the three of them get gassed and then the footage stops… the killing room illuminates in front of the woman and the three men are brought back in. She’s told the pre recorded footage was from earlier that day and they were to continue on in real time. Deaths happen, escapes occur, but Nick Cannon’s character is left in the end and he’s escorted to another room. The bottom of the screen? It reads “Phase 2.” I was so overwhelmed after being amped up on so much adrenaline (is he gonna live? WTF is happening here? What is this? Is he going to be turned into a terrorist?) and all you get is BAM! there’s Phase 2. Bye!
WWWWTTTTTTTFFFFFFFF. GIVE ME KILLING ROOM 2. Faaaaaaaaaaack. I loved it. So much.
I really wanted to see The Last House on the Left in theaters but I am sooooooo glad I didn’t. I hated it. The only parts I enjoyed were when people were getting mutilated at the end. I mean, it’s sick and twisted and so wrong, but they were the only exciting parts of the movie. And seriously? You own a boat at a lake house but don’t know where the keys are? For fucks sake, come on. I didn’t like any of it. If the girl had gone with her first instinct instead of caving to peer pressure, Paige might be dead but Mary would totally still be alive and not fighting for her life with a bullet centimeters from her lung. It was poorly done and you have no idea how thrilled I am I didn’t fork out the $8 or $10.50 to go see it.
Also, I tried to watch The Mist 45 minutes in (it was after Last House) and I was ready to pull my hair out. It was so fucking stupid. They’re yelling “THEY’RE ATTRACTED TO THE LIGHTS!” but they’ve got this dumbfuck idiot running around turning on alllllllllllll the lights while people are GETTING EATEN. OMG I would seriously have shot the maintenance guy, NOT the things trying to get in. Remind me to pull the trigger on myself if mist starts seeping through every nook and cranny of Holliston. You want something done right, do it yourself.
