So this is going to be one of those brief posts I make when it’s been a while and I feel like crap but need to post something. You know, the bulleted list kind? Yeah.
1) I’m exhausted. I got my first pay check (which included 11 hours of training and 12 hours of actual work) and it was fantastic. It was for 3 days of work (technically) and totaled a very nice $207. I’ve worked almost nonstop all week between babysitting and CVS so I’m totally wiped out.
2) I’ve seen Iron Man 2 twice and there will forever be a reserved spot in my bed for Robert Downey Jr., kthx (haha I only included that because I apparently texted that to Amanda at like 4am. I need to stop early-morning-so-tired-I-could-pass-for-drunk texting her). I am a huge RDJr fan and he was hilarious once again as the one and only Tony Stark. I saw the midnight premiere at IMAX on Thursday with my mom and then again Friday night with Katie at Regal 14. It is amazing in BOTH theaters, so don’t feel like you’re missing out if you don’t have a ginormous IMAX near you
It was funny, action packed, and they set it up for a third. I was thrilled to see they were setting it up for a third (because I <3 RDJr) and I honestly didn’t think they WOULD. There were so many twists and OMG moments. So, I’m happy. I really think you should go see it, especially if you really enjoyed the first movie. For me, the first movie had my jaw hanging off after the first TEN MINUTES. You know those wonderful movies where ten minutes in you feel like you just watched the WHOLE MOVIE because YOUR MIND IS BLOWN? The first one did that to me. The second one, not AS much, but I REALLY like how they started the second one. Also, I advise you watch it at least twice because I picked up on SO MUCH MORE second time around (and Tony’s all tech-talk at some parts so it was nice to hear them again.) I am seeing it again, btw
3) I ALSO SAW HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON in 3D
Mom and I went Thursday afternoon to see it at IMAX. I wanted to see it at IMAX and obviously I had to see it BEFORE Iron Man 2 kicked it out of IMAX. It was wicked funny and even had me a little, “WTF ARE YOU DOING!?” because it left me totally blown away at some parts. My mom loved it and I totally didn’t even feel like an idiot seeing it. It’s definitely not JUST a kids movie. While waiting in line for Iron Man 2 (we got to Jordan’s at 9 and waited three hours haha) three guys (late 20’s, early 30’s) went to see How To Train your Dragon so it definitely pulled in a diverse audience.
